take up item 3

action-1434?

<trackbot> action-1434 -- David Bolter to Contact matt king regarding issue-481, especially regarding multi-process -- due 2014-05-27 -- OPEN

<trackbot> https://www.w3.org/WAI/PF/Group/track/actions/1434

JS: You spoke with Matt?

DB: Yes.
... He wants us to keep it on the radar, but could we move it to 2.0 for now?

JS: We can.

DB: He prefers assigning it to 2.0 rather than closing it.

JS: Does anyone object?

BG: I don't

JS: Does that mean moving the issue itself to 2.0 as well?

issue-481?

<trackbot> issue-481 -- aria-live removal events should or must happen before object removal -- open

<trackbot> https://www.w3.org/WAI/PF/Group/track/issues/481

JS: There is no UAIG 2.0 product in tracker, so I will move this to ARIA 2.0 for now.
... I will discuss with Michael about making a UAIG 2.0 product.
... action-1434 closed, and issue-481 moved to ARIA 2.0 time frame.

Take up item 1

JS: First two items are just news.

<scribe> scribenick: cyns

JS: going ahead with heartbeat pub in early June. these will be public working drafts of spec, UAIG and best practices

<clown> take up item 2

JS: consensus was to move to bugzilla, but to do it gradually.
... we'll leave existing issues in tracker, and make new ones in bugzilla. Not sure of exact date. Will do here after it's done at a monday call.
... there was discussion of creating bugzillas for each action, leaving issues where they are.
... there is work in the background to find an IRC bot for bugzilla.
... if you have issues with this, email michael cooper

CS: I'm happy we're moving to bugzilla

<clown> https://www.w3.org/2014/05/21-pf-editors-minutes.html#item02

<clown> take up item 4

<clown> action-1444?

<trackbot> action-1444 -- Joanmarie Diggs to Investigate the ideal atk/at-spi2 mapping for role presentation in tables and lists. -- due 2014-06-03 -- OPEN

<trackbot> https://www.w3.org/WAI/PF/Group/track/actions/1444

<clown> https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1013584

JS: joanie has looked at both gdk and gecko, and has filed bugs against them. doesn't like what they're doing now. see links for details
... alexander surkov has agreed to change mapping from text. James thinks it should be paragraph. Joanie thinks div, because of orca paragraph nav.

BG: makes sense to me

JS: there is mapping for div in html5 mapping guide.

CS: it's group

JS: group and/or section
... joanie not sure on section
... should we state what we want or reference HTML mapping for div. my pref is to state what we want.

CS: why do you prefer defining it ourselves, rather than refrerence?

JS: because ARIA is for more than html
... for required owned elements that are presentational, they become xxx. for more detail, see html mapping, svg mapping, etc.

<clown> take up item 5

<trackbot> https://www.w3.org/WAI/PF/Group/track/actions/1320

CS: I still consider this technique to be an anti-pattern.

JS: I don't think FF will change

... let it lie a bit, and see if there is new interest. Moving due date out to December.
