Sam: MSE CR was published
http://www.w3.org/TR/2014/CR-media-source-20140109/
scribe: Ruby Note is awaiting Robin. it's on his list. No ETA.
Paul: Robin did a large merge
between html 5.1 and html 5.0.
... likely that it includes Ruby material
... once he gets the +1 from other editors, he'll m'ove to the
Note
Sam: polyglot LC
Paul: draft is ready according to
Eliott
... trying to get some assistance from Robin to produce a
stable document
... so we're still trying to get the doc ready
Sam: Canvas2D is for later in January
plh: progress on Monday on the canvas2d front
Paul: some folks are sick but
edits are done. we need to get the bugs closed
... by next monday, we'll know if they're ready to give the
chairs a candidate doc for canvas2d LC
Sam: longdesc specification
Paul: Charles had some IT issues
so the CfC closed on December 31st
... next step is to close the LC bug, get a testing disposition
ready and get the result of the CfC published
... waiting on Charles
... should see progress on this front
Sam: prep for heartbeat
... we're trying to figure out the dependencies
... HTML is waiting on the merge
... we're going through them
... will ping editors as needed
Sam: we're down to 7
... so good progress
zakin, close agendum 3
<krisk_> Hello!
Kris: Testing task force
... Robin sent an update on 12/17
<krisk_> Please review/provide feedback http://lists.w3.org/Archives/Public/public-test-infra/2014JanMar/0012.html
Kris: no one provided feedback so far
<krisk_> I also FWD Robins To HTML Test List, Public-test-infra and on #testing IRC
Kris: so we could be in a good shape
<krisk_> See -> https://github.com/w3c/web-platform-tests/pulls (128)
Kris: webplatform testing github
<krisk_> some excellent ones for HTML5
https://github.com/w3c/web-platform-tests/issues?labels=html
<krisk_> For example new canvas focus ring tests for Canvas (Thanks Plh!)
https://github.com/w3c/web-platform-tests/issues?labels=2dcontext
<krisk_> IE and Adobe hosting
a Test The Web Forward event in Seattle on Jan 26th.
... Feel free to
help!
... http://testthewebforward.org/events/2014/seattle.html
... I'll be on #testing
alot more with IE11 out now and the holidays over
plh: getting the number down on pull requests would help
Mark: talked about longdesc...
writing exit criteria for it.
... once we get the calendar worked out, we'll share with the
group
Mark: working on testing
iomplementation report
... cnavas2d work is going well
... mainly edits and checking at this point
... 3 of the big CR bugs in HTML have been closed
... making progress on the remaining 2
... need to do a quick check with HTML 5.1 bugs
... we don't expect too many surprises there
... heartbeat publication: Steve indicated that he may be able
to do one for WAI ARIA in HTML
<paulc> MSE is now in CR. Media TF is now working on EME bugs - http://tinyurl.com/luevt96
Paul: MSE is in CR, so we're
working on EME bugs
... about 17 of them
... I divided them into 2 parts: error codes/states, and
general interop
... we had some good positive discussions on some of them this
week
... so we still need to flaten some of the bugs before the
hearbeat
... so expect the TF to come back no earlier than end of
January
plh: last week, we were targeting April 8/9 to match the Tag F2F; we are revising that as the Tag F2F is now unlikely. as we were running out of time, plh has an action to come up with revised dates (May/June). we are figure out whether or not there is a need for a mini-TPAC; alternative is to focus specifically on HTML without webapps, the risk is that less people will attend
daniel_austin: it would be difficult to have the workshop and mini-TPAC in the same week
plh: I was hoping to have a proposal today, but I didn't make it today. I'll update everybody once I have date (hopefully later today)
Paul will chair and Kris will scribe
