Conversions

Part of our charter, and arising from our use cases, is the requirement to map tabular data into other formats. We will have separate documents looking at different conversions. Please add your name to the document(s) that you want to actively contribute to.

Each document should aim to define a conversion from an annotated table model to the relevant syntax, designed specifically to work with toolchains that use that syntax and taking into account existing work in the area.

Each document should list the additional information (ie metadata/annotations) that is needed to inform the conversion. It is likely that there will be overlaps between the documents about what additional information is useful (eg all conversions are likely to be interested in the data type of the values), which we will resolve together through discussion on the mailing list.
