Let's wait a bit for others
Maybe Qiuqian Yuan will participate and ask some questions
James did he ask you any more questions on how to run the Audio or Video tests?
<jgraham> No
Agenda Item #1 Bugs on Approved Tests
No new bugzilla bugs on approved tests
Note that Bug #17686 was approved and diff was sent out to the list
From Zhang (Intel)
The diff looks fine - it just replaces video with audio
See -> http://lists.w3.org/Archives/Public/public-html-testsuite/2012Jul/0004.html
James did you see this diff sent to the list?
I'm going to respond to Zhang and say please check this update into Hg
Also Rashmi (samsung) reported an issue with a canvas test
http://lists.w3.org/Archives/Public/public-html-testsuite/2012Jul/0009.html
http://w3c-test.org/html/tests/approved/canvas/2d.text.draw.space.collapse.nonspace.html
http://dev.w3.org/html5/2dcontext/#drawing-text-to-the-canvas
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Whitespace_character
Unicode defines 'space' characters and 0xb is indeed a space character
IE and Firefox pass (handle the vertical tab) while other browsers don't and fail
Though others do seem to properly process a horizontal tab correctly
So it seems like a bug in webkit
and not in the test case
james do you disagree?
<jgraham> I would need to check the spec
Ok - I'll respond to Rashmi
<jgraham> Note http://www.whatwg.org/specs/web-apps/current-work/#space-character
<jgraham> I think only characters on that list get replaced by U+0020
<jgraham> and U+000B is not
<jgraham> So it seems to be a problem in the W3C version of the spec that space characters doesn't link to the correct definition
<krisk_> I was disconnected....
<jgraham> 10:42 < jgraham> Note http://www.whatwg.org/specs/web-apps/current-work/#space-character
<jgraham> 10:43 < jgraham> I think only characters on that list get replaced by U+0020
<jgraham> 10:43 < jgraham> and U+000B is not
<jgraham> 10:44 < jgraham> So it seems to be a problem in the W3C version of the spec that space characters doesn't link to the correct definition
<krisk_> It seems that the definition of space is not consistent - seem like a HTML5 spec bug
<krisk_> Intresting when you use \x2003
<jgraham> It's a design decision
<jgraham> It is consistent within HTML that only those characters are considered "space characters"
<krisk_> Next Agenda Item New Test Submissions
<krisk_> http://dvcs.w3.org/hg/html/shortlog
<krisk_> Looks like Intel will be submitting tests
<krisk_> http://dvcs.w3.org/hg/html/rev/a3c5701bca75
<krisk_> from thiago.santos@intel.com
<krisk_> I was hoping to discuss ms2ger's canvas updates, though he is not on IRC
<jgraham> good, good
<jgraham> (the intel thing)
<krisk_> Last time we left off at http://dvcs.w3.org/hg/html/rev/7145549fcecf
<krisk_> Feel free to look at this and the revisions after this update
<krisk_> Then next time we meet we should be able to discuss with Ms2Ger
<krisk_> shall we adjourn?
<krisk_> silence == agreement :)
