document - Definition is too broad to be useful. Terms like XML document, i.e. document conforming to a schema may be more clear.
application - Suggest alternate definition. Also other SDOs may have more precise definitions for an application.

For the purposes of this document, the term "Application" refers computer software which may use server-side and/or client-side resources to provide an "application-like" experience within Web browsers and other User Agents. Applications may include locally executable elements of interactivity and persistent state. Note that locally stored applications like W3C Widgets are also included within this definition.

service - definition not adequate since it only includes verbs and not the ability to return information (like an EPG Service).
Requrements
Compatibility with widely deployed standards - suggest removal of m-DNS since it is not a sharing protocol.
Service Discovery - clarify intent of phrase "type of protocol". Ex: Does this mean UDP/TCP?
Application Discovery - Unclear what is discovered since the definition of an Application is unclear. May contradict work in other SDOs.
Content Advertisement - Are there any use-cases that proactively advertise Content?
Use Cases
U1 - term remote user interface has meaning in other ecosystems that are not consistent with this use-case.
