ISSUE-26: Should we deprecate rdf:ID on RDF/XML node elements? (use rdf:about instead)
Deprecate rdf:ID on nodes
Should we deprecate rdf:ID on RDF/XML node elements? (use rdf:about instead)

- Description:
- The RDF 1999 and 2004 Recommendations for RDF/XML include two mechanisms for specifying the subject of a triple, rdf:about and rdf:ID. They have overlapping functionality: any occurances of rdf:ID can replaced with rdf:about, if a "#" is prepended to the value.
(Are there exceptions to that rule?)
Many experts advise using only rdf:about, avoiding rdf:ID. Should
the WG align with this advice and say rdf:ID is only to be used for
backward compatibility? (That is, RDF/XML parsers must continue to
support it.)
Note that this issue is only about rdf:ID on node elements; when used
on property elements in RDF/XML it is part of the reificiation
mechanism, which is part of ISSUE-25.
