Role and Access Modules - future of

SP: contacted JBrewer but no reply; returning to work after an accident, so that may be current hold-up
... JBrewer is director of Web Accessibility Initiative (WAI)

GJR: still in holding pattern -- can't do anything until editors are assigned by PF

SM: Janina requested several times that HTML WG speak up or hold peice -- they finally did, but that may be another impediment
... PF charter issues concerning adaptation of role

GJR: we don't want accessibility split off from the trunk of HTML5

(note Janina Sajka is chair of Protocols & Formats WG)

SM: 2 issues: HTML WG already claims doing role; 2) PFWG not chartered to do this, need to follow process

<Steven> s/SM?SM/

SP: continue to monitor; please report on any progress

CURIE Syntax (is it our problem any more?)

http://lists.w3.org/Archives/Public/public-xhtml2/2010Feb/0004

GJR: request for CURIE support for ARIA 2.0 officially logged

SM: if CURIE issues, forward to RDFa WG

SP: good idea
... wraps that up

XHTML2 Draft

http://www.w3.org/MarkUp/Drafts/#xhtml2

SM: haven't made progress on it

SP: understand
... any other business?

SM: what do we need to do for next transition -- updated documents?

SP: will contact SM directly if spot anything that needs fixing
