MW4D group extension and schedule

steph: the group has been extended till end of february

<kiwanja> is there any funding issue/question connected with extending or keeping the Group running?

<Raphael> should we try webinars? how do these work? do you have experience in this?

<Raphael> instead of costly conferences (including carbon...)

<Raphael> I agree w/ Ken

<Raphael> steph: the WebFoundation can implement some of the recommendations of the roadmap

raphael: other option that F2F meeting

like online conference

using videoconference

could generate dynamics without travel

things like webinars

<kiwanja> liked some of the suggestions and outputs from Maputo - tools workshops, days based on themes with practitioners, etc.

e-agriculture.org

<Raphael> steph: option for asynchronous workshops

<betty> Do W3C or Web Foundation have plans to give mobile web training to developers in developing countries?

<kiwanja> would be worth speaking with the people at ALNAP, who do a lot of webinars with weather stations around the world (and it works quite well). they did a good one on FrontlineSMS recently

betty: training on technology

<kiwanja> steph - we should look at http://mobility.kiwanja.net again with ref to Betty's question

<kiwanja> mobile development guides, toolkits, etc.
