<ArunKumar> fine with me too

http://www.w3.org/2008/MW4D/docs/roadmapv2.htm

<raphael> Steph: New reviews of the roadmap planned after publication (invite coments)

<raphael> Used to renew interest too

<raphael> on the subject

Next charter

<raphael> OK w/me too

<raphael> Hi Renjish

<ArunKumar> no Q from me

<raphael> Steph: doc to be published on 16 Nov.

http://www.w3.org/2007/12/MW4D/charter1.1.html

<yoshiko> hi steph, youshiko is here.

hi Yoshiko

<yoshiko> i have no phone for a moment but will join in the teleconf. as soon as one wireless phone is released.

<raphael> hi Yoshiko

<yoshiko> hi raphael!

<raphael> Steph: 2 types of groups

Raphael: interest still there, attracting attention

<yoshiko> yoshiko -- speaking que

other initiatives without background of W3C

good to have this visibility, good to have the work conitnued

and could update the roadmap

rechartering on longer term sounds good

Yoshiko: fully agree with Raphael

the roadmpa paper good point of departure, will be seen by numerous people

revised the doc in a year

bigger volume of experience will come

good to revisit and update it

Mira: useful recommendation in the doc, and we could start at some of them

yoshiko:

media visibiity

<raphael> Steph: question of press release

<raphael> to be considered

<scribe> ACTION: steph to drive the advertising of the document when published [recorded in http://www.w3.org/2009/11/09-mw4d-minutes.html#action01]

yoshiko: make a good press release

<raphael> Steph: all networks' potential should be used too

yoshiko: i can distribute to my own lists, some other people like Katrin Verclas

have a great documents

<scribe> ACTION: stephane to work on PR [recorded in http://www.w3.org/2009/11/09-mw4d-minutes.html#action02]

yoshiko: follow-up, evolution

people should monitor different topics

volunteers to see how the domain evolved

i'm volunteering for the policy aspect

stephane: good idea

for me mobile web and voice

raphael: happy to monitor applications on phones (data, native applications like Java)

yoshiko: policy and social aspects

renjish: next vision might different

looking at beyond things

<raphael> I agree with Renjish, but the two can be explored in parallel

<raphael> one area could cover "new types of usages/application families"

renjish: application commonalities and differences, community interactions

look at margin solutions

<raphael> We could rework the whole document structure in new versions, I guess

from a data perspective

renjish: should leave the lowest comon denominator

mira: issues interesting: identity and privacy, monetizing and micro-payment

for service to become sustainable

<scribe> ACTION: steph to create a new wiki page for the future of the group [recorded in http://www.w3.org/2009/11/09-mw4d-minutes.html#action03]

renjish: so many group working on ICTD, lots of studies, but any real impact analysis ?

real improvement from the customer prospective

any such studies ?

raphel: support renjish comments, something duly missing in all project world

something we could work on

<yoshiko> q

raphael: discussion with other groups

creating bridges with other groups

<ArunKumar> These links might be of interest to the group (1) http://ict4dblog.files.wordpress.com/2009/06/idrc-ia-for-ict4d-compendium1.doc (2) http://insight.eun.org/ww/en/pub/insight/misc/specialreports/impact_study.htm

miras: impact assessment of MIS: that's my primary interest

very little on that for now

no real data or publication

mark davies from esoko also interested

yoshiko: impact assessment: few publication because it is just started

we should use use our mailing-list to share information

our work need to be known and understand

maybe a workshop ? on teleconference call ?

<raphael> Thanks, Arun, for the links

maybe a good start

<Renjish> I think that's a good idea..

it needs to be understand

<Renjish> can we have a webcast?

<Renjish> Steph could perhaps present?

steph: webcast or online ws may be a good idea

mira: the issue is that impact assessment is very sensitive politically

beyond the lact of datas

<ArunKumar> Another good example of impact : http://www.hole-in-the-wall.com/findings.html

Raphael: encourage people on wiki with a more structured page

Next meeting

<Renjish> ok. fine

november 30

<ArunKumar> I would be travelling. Apologies.

<raphael> 14h00 cet+1

<MiraS> 30th nov is good with me
