<Steven> John, it is easier than that
<Steven> If you say "trackbot, start telecon" it does all the magic for you
<ebruchez> I am here
<Steven> Scribe: Steven
John: Charlie is chairing next
week
... We have a virtual meeting Oct 1
... and then 4 actual FtF days in November
... therefore the virtual day may be better after the TPAC
week
Steven: Sounds reasonable
<ebruchez> back
John: December 3rd would be
possible
... Any objections?
[Silence]
John: Any preferences for Nov 19th?
Steven: For me slight preference
for Nov 19
... more time for follow up actions
... We must think about rechartering by the way
<ebruchez> Scribe: ebruchez
<Steven> John: OK, we'll reschedule the 1 Oct for Nov 19
<wiecha> steven -- is there an agenda for wednesday of TPAC???
<wiecha> don't see any links on the call for participation page
Steven: PR votes went well, 23 public results, 1 private. This is a good response with big names.
John: We can expect a vote from EMC as well.
Leigh: Re Relax NG schema, we talked about decoupling it from the PR transition by adding a non-normative section pointing to the schema.
Steven: Just adding that section
pointing to an initial RNG schema, saying it is not part of
XForms, should be fine.
... When we make the transition, we need to mention that we
forgot this non-normative link to the schema.
<John_Boyer> ACTION: John to add informative RelaxNG schema link to XForms 1.1 for Rec transition. [recorded in http://www.w3.org/2009/09/09-forms-minutes.html#action01]

John: That image on the group's
page (http://www.w3.org/MarkUp/Forms/)
has been there for years. It includes WML. We got asked where
the WML-based implementations are.
... Instead of WML, it seems reasonable to put ODF. I can
update the image. Is there any objection?
Charlie: Good idea.
John: It does not appear in the spec.
<scribe> ACTION: Steven to update the "puzzle" image appearing on "The Forms Working Group" home page to replace WML with ODF. [recorded in http://www.w3.org/2009/09/09-forms-minutes.html#action02]
<trackbot> Created ACTION-564 - Update the "puzzle" image appearing on "The Forms Working Group" home page to replace WML with ODF. [on Steven Pemberton - due 2009-09-16].
John: ...
<John_Boyer> no work needed on this since our main days overlap TPAC
Steven: I wanted to bring up the DOM 3 spec, in which we should show interest.
John: Was thinking we could discuss this next week.
<Steven> http://lists.w3.org/Archives/Member/w3c-archive/2009Sep/0034.html
John: It seems that Martin is not accepting our view of the world ;)
Steven: He thinks Inputmode should be well-defined and implemented even at cost. I am not sure what the issue is: we say the attribute is normative, but its value is not.
John: Which means we are not going to test it as part as the advancement of the spec. And this conversation is occurring in last call.
<Steven> I asked,and he replied:
<Steven> > Would this satisfy you for now?
<Steven> More or less, I guess.
<Steven> Scribe: Steven
So in private mail with Martin, he said he was satisfied with our suggested plan
he forwarded it to a member-only list
1) Make inputmode case insensitive
2) Not change the normativeness of the values
3) Make the other editorial changes he points out
<ebruchez> Scribe: ebruchez
<John_Boyer> In response to the question of any discrepancy between XForms 1.1 and 1.0 (and the XHTML input mode module) there are two important notes:
<John_Boyer> First, the change to case-insensitive does not make any 1.0 documents non-conformant. It is a broadening change.
<John_Boyer> Second, regardless of what may have been specified in the past, case-sensitivity is an error relative to the Unicode specs we are relying upon for these keywords. They specify case-insensitve comparison, and we are aligning to that
<scribe> ACTION: John to change XForms 1.1 to case-insensitive input mode and make other editorial changes suggested by Martin. [recorded in http://www.w3.org/2009/09/09-forms-minutes.html#action03]

John: Member organizations casting a vote can update section 7 of the voting form. You can actually select more of those checkboxes.
Erik: We will update the voting page.
John: I have received 4 testimonials so far, from non-W3C members. That does not include those by implementors.
Steven: Besides group members, I suppose EMC would be willing.
John: How do we organize the collection of the testimonials?
Steven: Ian will probably collect them, let's ask him.
John: You can send testimonials to me or Steven.

John: Email from Joern Turner. First thing to check is whether this test is still part of the suite.
<wiecha> we don't reference 3.3.1.c3 on the PR implementation report
Leigh: What's our situation on
chameleon schema?
... I am sending the schemas now. No link to the non-namespace
versions.
<wiecha> but is in the raw reports from Chiba and EMC
<klotz> http://lists.w3.org/Archives/Public/public-forms/2009Sep/0010.html but the archive web page has the RNC files inline. I will re-send as a ZIP attachment.
