RESOLUTION: WG approves meeting minutes for 2008-10-23 at http://lists.w3.org/Archives/Public/public-sml/2008Oct/att-0017/20081023-sml-minutes.html

Bug 4633 Use of short namespace

http://www.w3.org/Bugs/Public/show_bug.cgi?id=4633

<pratul> Philippe recommended namspace such as http://www.w3.org/ns/sml

Pratul: need namespaces for SML, SML-IF, and SML-FN

<pratul> For SML FN we can use http://www.w3.org/ns/sml-function

<pratul> For SML IF http://www.w3.org/ns/sml-if

<MSM> W3C namespace allocation policy: http://www.w3.org/2005/07/13-nsuri

MSM: describes W3C namespace policy. See above link.
... specs should state their expectations about the namespaces, and such information should also be made avilable by dereferencing the namespace.
... if we decide on the namespace name, someone should take the action to draft such a document placed at the namespace URI.
... section 4 of the policy document has some examples.
... suggest to draft the document following example 2 in section 4.

RESOLUTION: WG agrees to use namespaces http://www.w3.org/ns/sml, http://www.w3.org/ns/sml-function, http://www.w3.org/ns/sml-if for SML specifications.

MSM: tweaking words in example 2, like "names in this namespaces are defined in Va.b of spec XYZ, and may also be defined in future version of spec XYZ."
