Business presentation

Business presentation: No new comments, Jeff is working on converting the document into slides

Hopefully he can attend next week's call so we can discuss progress with him

Use cases

Use cases: Ivan: nothing new

Susie: TopQuadrant got permission to use Sears' name in a use case

No new use cases from Siderean, but maybe in 6 weeks

More leads being followed up by Susie and Ivan

Lee suggested that Mark F who presented at the Semantic Web gathering meeting yesterday might have some use cases to contribute

Use case facets: We have just about finished the first pass through

will be doing a second pass through to complete the technology facets and benefits facets and should be completed by next week

Afterwards will look at how to update the facets on the SWEO page

Knowee

Knowee: Benji: no update yet, aiming for an update by next week

Preferred doc collection

preferred document collection: Danny not on call, so no update

Document collection

Kingsley: identified some technical issues (in javascript), will be fixed soon

Kingsley: dbpedia3 is ready now, in the next 24 release there should be a new release of dbpedia - much larger data, cleaner relationships

Ivan: Clearly dbpedia is very popular, will it benefit with some help from W3C, like an IG or something?

Kingsley: It will grow on its own, but maintaining the association with W3C will help

We will think about whether a more formal association with W3C will benefit the dbpedia effort, or whether the informal association will suffice

Susie: Large group attended the semantic web gathering meeting yesterday, and it was great to see the momentum building up

URI document

(Ivan adding artificial minutes, Melli's computer lost connection while scribing:-(

Leo: Richard and I have collected the comments on a web page and going through them now. No change on the document itself yet

Ivan: there was some sort of a misunderstanding between the TAG and us, I believe. The TAG comments referred to the editorial comments in the document as if these were still to be filled in (ie, yet another review round would be necessary) but Leo & Richard's intention was to get comments from the TAG exactly on those. It may be worth contacting the TAG directly to clarify that and possibly get their opinion on those questions right away...

<ivan> ACTION: leo to contact the TAG to clarify the editorial issues and asking for comments on those [recorded in http://www.w3.org/2008/02/13-sweo-minutes.html#action01]

Summary of Action Items
