Dave: Any objections to approval?

<silence>

Dave: Approved.

Joint call with DDWG.

<Dave> see http://lists.w3.org/Archives/Member/member-uwa/2007Aug/0033.html

Rotan: Discussions in DD suggested that joint call with two groups could work.

[Discussed scheduling.]

Dave: Any objections to the call?

<silence>

<scribe> ACTION: Rotan to send joint email to groups re joint call. [recorded in http://www.w3.org/2007/08/30-uwawg-minutes.html#action01]

<trackbot-ng> Created ACTION-51 - Send joint email to groups re joint call. [on Rotan Hanrahan - due 2007-09-06].

Dave: Like to introduce Vlad to the call.

Distributed DOMs, remote UI

Vlad: Working G established established.
... Work - Modular interfaces, described in XML.
... Events - from server to client, and in other direction.

<Dave> Vlad summarises work in the IETF on WIDEX and its relationship to REX

Vlad: Discussions on mailing list. Extensions not included on official drafts.
... Work in IETF closed.
... Have seen Dave's draft re distributed DOM.
... Want to note the direction of the work to be done in the group.
... Dave was actively involved in the IETF work.
... Thought IETF might not be the right venue to develop this technology.
... But doubts over W3C support for Dist.DOM.
... Want to know thoughts of others in this community re D.DOM.
... Current draft is not really a Distribute DOM.

Dave: Thanks for the summary.
... Where to start - Work on use case requirements.
... Could do this on the planned wiki.
... Would you be able to help capturing the use cases/requirements?

Vlad: yes, I can help collecting the use cases [unintelligible].
... Have WIDEX as a starting point.

Dave: Concrete use cases will help people understand, as opposed to abstract cases.
... How to capture these? Next item...

wiki

Dave: Request to use Semantic Mediawiki.
... Request from systeam re what we want. Questions are in the agenda.
... Important question - access control. Who can edit?

Rotan: DD group will only allow public wiki editing for public people who make regular contributions via public mailing list.

Dave: Makes sense.
... Keep wiki public visible, accounts for group members only (and some public people if they prove their worth).
... Any Semantic Mediawiki experience?

Rotan: Looks easy enough, but won't get benefits until you have a lot of content.

Dave: Wonsuk, and information on coordination.

Wonsuk: Will provide information at the next teleconference (next week).

Hosting of next F2F.

Dave: Korea suggested.

<Dave> Kevin, any progress to report on ACTION-9?

<Dave> see http://www.w3.org/2007/uwa/trackbot/actions/9

<Krcsmith> I received a mail from Roalnd Merrick who was grateful for any help with the schemas. So I suggest we review and donate accordingly...

<Dave> Dave proposes to end the call given that Rotan and Kevin aren't able to hear us.

OK. Sorry about the connection!

<Krcsmith> OK, will circulate link to list.

<Dave> Let's hope you can find some better batteries for next week!
