<Michael> ^ Barry Smith's ontology presentation

http://ontolog.cim3.net/cgi-bin/wiki.pl?OntologySummit2007

Recombinant Data as a CT theme

stephen: clinical pharmacologist use pathway and other data for future CT designs-- a big use case for RD

another use case: people cannot find anything; answer specific problems, generate report, then it gets buried

stephen: semantic mind maps?

how do topics get defined and managed?

Bo: issue on using mind maps across whole enterprise-- many different groups with their own perspectives

Stephen: level 1 organizational, too much in their heads; level 2 discovery phase, identify new data, create new associations; level 3 automate association creation
... only 5% of decisions based on real data

stephen, we need more that CT ontology, need drug dev ontology

stephen: as for as I know, nothing yet exists here

kerstin: process, data, artifacts, ...

stephen: include post-market surveillance as well in the ontology
... surveillance filled forms to FDA and company; forms take time and are difficult
... standard safety forms, passing to eHR of investigators, when filled they get forwarded
... GELLO

<Michael> GELLO website http://www.gello.org

stephen: gene chip data , 11MB, 22 replicates, DAT file, converted to .cel, multiple probes->probe sets
... cel -> normalized to p-values; t-tests

<sdobson> bye

<sdobson> exit

<sdobson> ciaw
