Description:
Sorry to be rather insistent on this point, but I think we can still
improve the current abstract of the mobileOK tests document. (I\'m not
sure this needs the full group\'s time, unless the Editors feel like it
does).

A good thumb rule for the abstracts of W3C Technical reports is that
they should be understandable by non technical persons, esp. press
representatives.

I don\'t think the current one qualifies:
mobileOK defines machine-readable content labels which may be
applied to content to indicate that the content and its delivery
pass a suite of tests based on the W3C Mobile Web Best Practices
document [BestPractices]. This document gives an overview of
mobileOK and describes the test suites; it does not define the
form or usage of the content labels. This is left to the
forthcoming mobileOK Content Labels document [ContentLabels].

The intention of mobileOK is to help catalyze development of Web
sites that provide an effective mobile user experience.

I think we need to put first the goal, before dwelling into the more
techy details. What about:
The mobileOK mark aims at catalyzing development of Web sites
that provide an effective mobile user experience through a
machine-readable mark. Applying this mark on a Web page is a
signal that the content was developed following mobile web
development best practices.

This document gives an overview of mobileOK and describes the
tests a page needs to pass to be mobileOK. The form and usage of
the mark is described in a separate document [ContentLabels].

(I\'m not really worried about the particular wording we end up using;
I\'m just trying to ensure we have something most people can understand
upfront)
