Discussion summary:

  1. Approve minutes from previous three meetings.  Note, the minutes are linked from http://www.w3.org/2005/Incubator/urw3/#Minutes
  2. Review status of action items from previous meeting

Action 1:Giorgos, please look more into wiki to HTML tool and make recommendation on use.

    Action 1 is still open.
Paulo suggests that editing team should manually translate to html.
    Peter agrees.

  3. Action 2:  Editing Team continue from last meeting Actions 2, 4, and 5: insert more detailed specifics in discussion section of discovery use case; work on appropriately connecting Discovery use case to uncertainty ontology; start identifying "methodologies" for addressing the issue of annotating the use cases.

Kathy suggests that Action 2 should be deferred to report from editing team.

Action 3: Kathy wants to comment on [fuzzy vice probabalistic] link and extend.

Kathy made some suggested changes to Peter and Mitch's suggestions on combining probability and fuzzy.
    http://www.w3.org/2005/Incubator/urw3/wiki/OpenIssues
Peter suggested that both suggestions are appropriate.
Kathy asks Peter to find a citation for fuzzy preference functions.
Peter found citation: Optimal aggregation algorithms for middleware, with Amnon Lotem and Moni Naor. J. Computer and System Sciences 66 (2003), pp. 614-656. Extended abstract appeared in Proc. 2001 ACM Symposium on Principles of Database Systems (PODS '01), pp. 102-113.

ACTION: Kathy and Peter to add citations to the reference list and link them from the fuzzy/probabilistic scenario.

Action 4: Combined to action 2.

Action 5: Vipul to expand one of the HCLS use cases with types of uncertainty exhibited (using uncertainty ontology as guide)

ACTION: (carry over from last meeting) Vipul to expand one of the HCLS use cases with types of uncertainty exhibited (using uncertainty ontology as guide).

Mitch suggested that the fuzzy-probabilistic scenario be made a bit more explicit, i.e., it be supported by graphical represenations of fuzzy functions and giving an explicit example of the fuzzy preference function for this particular scenario.

Action 6: Peter to work on the extraction use case.

Kathy summarized that Peter did a draft relating extraction use case to uncertainty ontology and there was a discussion over the email list.
Claudia thinks that we need to discuss the annotation process.

ACTION: Peter to continue working on extraction use case.

Kathy noted that we have an agenda item to discuss uncertainty ontology.

ACTION: Kathy to work with Mitch and Peter to extend and expand f/p scenario and add graphical representation of fuzzy preferences.

Action 7: Ken to start email on interest and availability for January/February timeframe for full ftf, including possible locations.

ACTION: (carry over from last meeting) Ken to start email on interest and availability for January/February timeframe for full ftf, including possible locations

  4. Report on Busan F2F
  5. Discussion of uncertainty ontology and annotation of use cases
Kathy noted that we already discussed this under a previous agendum.
  6. Report from editing committee -- way forward on report
  7. .
  8. Other business
  9.
  10. Meeting was adjourned.
