We are planning to hold a half day meeting on model-based user interfaces at the upcoming W3C Technical Plenary in Lyon, France. The meeting would be in the afternoon of Tuesday, 2nd November, and will be open to anyone interested, i.e. not restricted to W3C Member organizations.

The aim of the meeting is to guide plans for standardization work and to review a draft charter for a proposed W3C working group on meta-models for interoperable exchange between different authoring tools. This follows on from the Rome workshop in May 2010. Agenda suggestions for related topics are welcomed.

In these difficult times, W3C is having to charge a registration fee of 40 euros if you register by 22nd October. For more details of the venue, and a link to the registration form, please go to:

Please send your comments and agenda suggestions to me (dsr [at] w3.org) and feel welcome to add them to this page below:

Fabio: According to what we discussed in the Rome workshop we should activate a group on creating standards in the model-based area, in particular standards for task models and abstract user interfaces.
