Server Script

• Based on generic RDF HTTP interface.
• Annotations script is as thin as possible.
• Protocol dictates some non-generic data access.
  • some nodes given local URLs (I call this hosting).
  • scripts serving those URLs have expected queries.

There is a tension between using a generic protocol and a web-friendly protocol. Putting something "on the web" requires more intention than merely talking about it; you need to name it and answer to that name. Annotea solved this tention by picking one and doing it reasonably well.
