General notions (1/2)
-
A WSD is described in terms of components (operations, interface,
binding, service, …). The XML representation associated
with the components is described in terms of XML Information Items
(InfoSet) in
WSDL documents.
-
The WSD components are attached to a namespace (the same way
the XML Schema element and attribute components are attached to
a namespace): one target namespace per WSDL document.
-
WSDL uses qnames to identify WSD components but we do have a
scoping: a interface qname is part of the global scope, while an
operation qname is part of its interface scope.
-
The WSD components are reusable: you can include and/or import
them from an other WSDL document.
