Data Aggregation at W3C

W3C creates and consumes metadata for supporting more effective organizational management

Data sources for people, organizational structure (working groups, activities, domains), calander / scheduling information, technical reports, services, glossary, etc.

Datasources are in a variety of formats (e.g. databases, in HTML files, in RDF/XML files).

Datasources can be exposed in RDF/XML to support effective data aggregation:

• HTML to RDF/XML via XSLT (e.g. TR Documents HTML -> RDF)
• Relational databases to RDF/XML via (e.g. dbview)
