The department took part to the standardisation of the
videophony/videoconference standards (H320, H324, H323).
We have studied the RTP payload of H263. We have studied also several
protocols of the IETF subgroups "avt", "mmusic".

As far as the W3C is concerned, some problems are raised :
- what are the relations between the videophony/videoconference and the
server approach of the W3C ?
- can RTP become a standard for the web with URL's which will contain
"the rtp specification" ? 
- If one assumes that a URL is defined with the "rtp" profile, how many
ports will be related to this URL ? How many applications have to be
opened on the client side ?
- How can we use URL from the videophony point of view ?
- How can we use H263 (video standard) from the server point of view ?
