Lastly, attached is a more technical description of the Replication Pipeline that describes in a lot of detail what is going on in each of the 3 pipeline components.

This decoupling is very important from an architecture, design, scalability, and performance perspective.

Here’s the replication that diagram I created several years ago at Syntergy as their solution architect …at a high level, it’s actually only 3 components:

The source and target servers could be clients and/servers or intermediary router.  For more details, see page 17 and onwards in the attached whitepaper.
