Object element

Issue: The object element suffers of big interoperability problems among user agents. Is it possible to fix the object element without breaking any content from the past or is it worthwhile to create new specific elements like audio, video, canvas, etc.

Details:

• Minimal Tests have been created by WASP and W3C in the past showing some of the issues and compiled in a test results page
• Micropayments WD acknowledges that there are some troubles with using object elements and recommends to use embed or applet. But unfortunately it doesn't give the list of specific issues.
