\n* Anthony Bowker from Unity will be giving us a presentation about Unit
y's current HTML5 efforts (10 min talk + 5 min Q/A)\n* Paul Adenot from Mo
zilla and Chris Cunningham from Google will be speaking about WebCodecs (
 10 min talk + 5 min Q/A)\n* Open discussion (30 min)\n\nAfter the talks\,
we will continue with an open discussion for any other topics (30 min). I
n particular\, we would like to discuss the idea of having a secondly bi-m
onthly call (every other month) which would be more of a "workshop format"
. We envision these workshop calls to start with a very focused question t
hat we would discuss and break into groups to brainstorm web platform sol
utions for solving and by the end of the call we'd like identify actionabl
e next steps from the ideas generated. I'll send a separate email to get s
ome initial ideation started so we can discuss this more on next week's ca
 ll.

Web Install API - Diego Gonzalez\n(pending confirmation)\n\nThis new propo
soal is not a direct continuation of the Web Install API that Peter Conn
presented to the group about three years ago\, but it attempts to solve th
e same problem: allowing a web site to install a web application. The prop
osal was recently split into two: same-domain installs and cross-domain in
stalls based on review feedback. See the explainer at:\nhttps://github.com
 /MicrosoftEdge/MSEdgeExplainers/blob/main/WebInstall/explainer.md\n\n\n- W
eb port challenges in Godot - Fabio Allessandrelli\n\nGodot 4 was released
earlier this year. It comes with modernization of the engine both in term
s of rendering and architecture. Fabio will present challenges that arose
for the Web port\, how they got solved and future plans for the platform.\

SUMMARY:Discussion of a new CG focused on Loading and Control JS API for We

DTSTART;TZID=Europe/Paris:20250325T110000
DTEND;TZID=Europe/Paris:20250325T120000
DESCRIPTION:https://www.w3.org/events/meetings/f20ab174-7025-4439-b518-301b
4d8ec358/\n\nAfter previous discussions in our community group\, we have d
rafted a charter for a potential new community group to focus on the JavaS
cript API proposal for standardising how web game developers integrate wit
h web game portals and other hosting services. Our proposed name is the
“Loading and Control JavaScript API”.\n\nWhy a new group?\n\n* The cha
rter of the existing Web Games Community Group does not currently include
the purview of writing specifications for new APIs or standards. It would
’ve been possible to alter the existing charter but after discussions be
tween the co-chairs it was decided it would be better to create a dedicate
d group to focus on this task in particular. Hence we have created a draft
charter for the new group to achieve that particular goal.\n\nWhat is thi
s proposed API exactly?\n\n* The proposal aims to define a Micro-API outli
ning a boundary between a web game and the page on which it is embedded.\n
\nFor more details such as “why we should make a new API”\, we recomme
nd you [read the draft charter](https://docs.google.com/document/d/1RL4hTF
JcuSGjeWNxzz3g2P7K8GyIx2YXX2XOZyuxSfs/edit?tab=t.0). As that gives more de
tail on the proposal\, goal and scope. This will also be excellent prepara
tion before the discussion meeting.\n\nAgenda: https://docs.google.com/doc
