DESCRIPTION:https://www.w3.org/events/meetings/e9d8c4dc-b34a-4e43-bef9-b7a0
c041f407/\n\nMedia content metadata is a key enabler for cross-industry se
rvice deployment and value creation.\n\nThis session will explore practica
l approaches to improve media metadata interoperability\, focusing on indu
stry use cases.\n\nAt TPAC 2023\, the breakout session titled [Facilitatin
g media content distribution across industries](https://www.w3.org/2023/09
 /13-cross-industry-media-content-minutes.html) discussed the potential and
challenges of media interoperability across sectors such as broadcasting
and publishing.\n\nFollowing that discussion\, the [Media Content Metadata
  Japanese Community Group](https://github.com/w3c-cg/mcm-jp/blob/main/READ
ME_en.md) (MCM-JP CG) was established. The group gathered case studies\, r
eviewed existing specifications\, and verified feasibility using operation
al metadata.\n\nWe will present the outcomes of MCM-JP CG activities with
live demonstrations and invite feedback from participants. The session wil
l also identify next steps to expand collaboration and promote practical i
mplementation across industries.\n\n**Goal(s):**\nTo report on metadata in
teroperability efforts across media sectors and gather feedback for future
  collaboration.\n\nAgenda\n\n- Introduction and background\n- Presentation
of MCM-JP CG activities and findings (including live demos)\n- Feedback a
nd discussion on interoperability challenges and opportunities\n- Identify
ing next steps for collaboration and implementation\n\n**Materials:**\n- [
