DESCRIPTION:https://www.w3.org/events/meetings/d0ca9f6b-12e1-4c8b-9ae1-4ba2
4c8cee10/\n\nEcma is a standards body responsible for far more than specif
ying JavaScript™. There are currently 17⅔ active technical committees
†\, and historically 56 total. Some of these technical committees focus
on hardware\, acoustics\, the environment\, and even consumer safety. Clos
er to W3C home\, work areas include programming languages (Dart\, C#\, Eif
fel) and a variety of software-related topics ranging from supply chain se
curity to Office Open XML formats. In this breakout session\, we’ll expl
ore these together and dive a little deeper on whichever the attendees fin
d most interesting.\n\nI proposed this breakout session last year but wasn
't able to gather the information I wanted to provide. This year I'll be a
ble to show up with a deeper knowledge of history and\, after an introduct
ion\, prompt participants for which topics they wish to further discuss.\n
\n† The ⅔ will absolutely make sense\n\n**Goal(s):**\nProvide an overv
iew of the breadth of Ecma work areas\, then discuss in depth the most rel
 evant to TPAC participants\n\nAgenda\n\nNo agenda\, I'll breeze through [t
 he slides](https://hosted.akiro.se/2025/tpac/Ecma-everything-else.pdf)\, a
nswering questions as I go\, and then we'll talk about how Ecma can suppor
 t W3C\n\n**Materials:**\n- [Session proposal on GitHub](https://github.com
