 e9c17f7f/\n\nUsers of the web are best served by being able to experience 
 it in their native languages. Currently\, localization of web content is a
 chieved with a multitude of custom solutions\, most of which are unable to
  express the full depth and breadth of human expressions in all languages.
  Introducing an easy-to-use but powerful standard localization solution wo
 uld improve the experience of all users\, in particular the vast majority 
 who do not speak English natively.\n\nThis session is a continuation of th
 e [2023 breakout session](https://www.w3.org/events/meetings/4fd28161-058b
 -4daa-9618-d1893be9c39c/). Since then\, the Unicode MessageFormat standard
  has been published as a [part of Unicode Technical Standard #35](https://
 unicode.org/reports/tr35/tr35-messageFormat.html) and the [DOM Localizatio
 n explainer](https://github.com/mozilla/explainers/blob/main/dom-localizat
 ion.md) has been updated. It has also become clear that a web-compatible f
 ile format for localization resources needs to be identified as a part of 
 the work towards DOM localization\, or a new file format needs to be speci
 fied.\n\n**Goal(s):**\nCollect comments on the proposal and recruit intere
 sts to work on the standard.\n\nAgenda\n\n**Big Questions:**\n1. Should we
  work on introducing localization as a capability of the web platform?\n2.
  Is the Internationalization WG an appropriate forum for standardizing the
  message resource file format?\n3. How specific to localization should the
