 idelines (WCAG) 3.0 is a successor to [Web Content Accessibility Guideline
 s 2.2](https://www.w3.org/TR/wcag-3.0-explainer/#bib-wcag22) and previous 
 versions. Changing technology and changing needs of people with disabiliti
 es require a new model to address content accessibility more comprehensive
 ly.\n\nWCAG 3.0 will use a model that allows it to:\n\n* address more disa
 bility needs than WCAG 2\,\n* incorporate publishing requirements and emer
 ging technologies such as web XR (augmented\, virtual\, and mixed reality)
  and voice input\,\n* facilitate maintenance\, so that the new model will 
 be more enduring over time as technologies evolve\, and\n* include additio
 nal information about the ways web technologies need to work with authorin
