Discussion could be about, for example:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Improving efficiency of apis<\/li>\n<li>Reducing data consumption<\/li>\n<li>Upgrading apis to make them less greedy in energy<\/li>\n<li><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Millions of kilowatts are wasted in the world each year because of various reasons, such as:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Bad algorithms<\/li>\n<li>Data storing (ex : spams)<\/li>\n<li>Wrong processes<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Any idea that could make the web more respectful for environment is welcome to this group.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p>You are invited to <a href=\"\/community\/groups\/proposed#webeco\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">support the creation of this group<\/a>. Once the group has a total of five supporters, it will be launched and people can join to begin work.
