{"id":7520,"date":"2020-02-24T08:12:03","date_gmt":"2020-02-24T08:12:03","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.w3.org\/community\/blog\/2020\/02\/24\/proposed-group-xslt-extensions-community-group\/"},"modified":"2020-02-24T08:12:03","modified_gmt":"2020-02-24T08:12:03","slug":"proposed-group-xslt-extensions-community-group","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.w3.org\/community\/blog\/2020\/02\/24\/proposed-group-xslt-extensions-community-group\/","title":{"rendered":"Proposed Group: XSLT Extensions Community Group"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The XSLT Extensions Community Group has been proposed by Michael Kay:<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p>The group aims to agree extensions to the XSLT 3.0 Recommendation published on 8 June 2017, along with supporting changes to the other specifications (XPath, Functions and Operators) on which it depends. <\/p>\n<p>A preliminary proposal describing requirements for such extensions can be found in Michael Kay&#8217;s Proposal for XSLT 4.0 published in the <a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/archive.xmlprague.cz\/2020\/files\/xmlprague-2020-proceedings.pdf#page=121\" target=\"_blank\">Proceedings of XML Prague 2020<\/a><\/p>\n<p>It is intended that the group will operate primarily by use of email and forums but may hold a face-to-face meeting to resolve issues prior to final publication of a specification.<\/p>\n<p>The group may publish specifications.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p>You are invited to <a href=\"\/community\/groups\/proposed#xslt-40\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">support the creation of this group<\/a>. Once the group has a total of five supporters, it will be launched and people can join to begin work.
