The PDF and Open Data Community Group has been proposed by Larry Masinter:<\/p>\n

PDF has a reputation of being bad for ‘open data’, but there are already features of PDF that can be used for storing and retrieving data associated with parts of a PDF file, and more features coming.<\/p>\n

A draft charter will be posted soon.<\/p>\n

\n

You are invited to support the creation of this group<\/a>. Once the group has a total of five supporters, it will be launched and people can join to begin work. In order to support the group, you will need a W3C account<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Once launched, the group will no longer be listed as “proposed”; it will be in the list of current groups<\/a>.<\/p>\n
