Google Cultural Institute has just published a <a href=\"http:\/\/www.google.com\/culturalinstitute\/exhibit\/the-origins-of-the-internet-in-europe\/QQ-RRh0A?hl=en&amp;position=0%2C-1\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">site dedicated to them<\/a>, showing how they designed the very first search engine in 1935 by inventing the Universal Decimal Classification system and storing 16 million fact cards in the <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Mundaneum\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">Mundaneum<\/a> in Brussels, which people could &#8220;query&#8221; by post.<\/p>\n<p>Representatives from both Google and the Mundaneum museum are on this group, so congratulations to both!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>We&#8217;ve already mentioned Paul Otlet and The Mundaneum museum here.
