{"id":39,"date":"2022-12-12T21:00:43","date_gmt":"2022-12-12T21:00:43","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.w3.org\/community\/w3process\/?p=39"},"modified":"2022-12-12T21:00:45","modified_gmt":"2022-12-12T21:00:45","slug":"director-free-process-initial-draft-call-for-early-review","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.w3.org\/community\/w3process\/2022\/12\/12\/director-free-process-initial-draft-call-for-early-review\/","title":{"rendered":"Director-free Process Initial Draft Call for Early Review"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<pre id=\"body\" class=\"wp-block-preformatted\">The Process CG has finished preparing a first \u201ccomplete\u201d draft of the Director-free Process for 2023, and we are ready to ask for an <a href=\"https:\/\/www.w3.org\/Consortium\/Process\/Drafts\/#changes\" data-type=\"URL\" data-id=\"https:\/\/www.w3.org\/Consortium\/Process\/Drafts\/#changes\">early informal review<\/a>.\n  \nBy \u201ccomplete\u201d we mean that every prepared part of Director-free has been \nincorporated, and the Director has been completely removed from the Process. \nBy \u201cfirst draft\u201d we mean that there are still a number of open Process 2023 \nissues, and we are not done with this cycle. We will send a \u201cfinished\u201d draft \nfor your review later.\n\nWe wanted to send this unfinished version for early review so that the \ncommunity can review and discuss the Director-free aspects while we continue \nwork on Process 2023.\n\nYou can file issues against the Process in the <a href=\"https:\/\/github.com\/w3c\/w3process\/issues\" data-type=\"URL\" data-id=\"https:\/\/github.com\/w3c\/w3process\/issues\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">Process CG repository<\/a> and join the Community Group to be part of the discussion.\n\nFor those of you not yet aware, Director-Free is a project of the W3C Advisory Board in which we are replacing the roles of the Director (Tim Berners-Lee) at W3C to \naccommodate Tim's retirement and to create a more community-driven governance \nfor W3C standardization activities. It includes things like defining the W3C \nCouncil to resolve Formal Objections, which we have been experimenting with \nfor the past few years.\n\nThe Process CG is working under delegation from the Advisory Board to draft up this plan.\n<\/pre>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Process CG has finished preparing a first \u201ccomplete\u201d draft of the Director-free Process for 2023, and we are ready to ask for an early informal review.
