The Voting system Community Group<\/a> has been launched:<\/p>\n

There has been lengthy and recurrent discussions about reforming the voting system for AB\/TAG elections. <\/p>\n

The current system is allegedly broken as it is stated by various members, but the AC is not willing to work on this unless someone comes up with a comprehensive explanation and proposal.<\/p>\n

There are many alternatives:
\n* pick up one alternative voting system
\n* work on a tool to create simulation
\n* use this tool for **non official** ballot at the same time as an official ballot (which would be used with the current systen)<\/p>\n

All of these items have been proposed in various email threads in w3c-ac-forum and public-w3process list, not repeating the links here for the sake of conciseness.<\/p>\n

This group will not publish specifications.<\/p>\n

This is a community initiative. This group was originally proposed on 2014-05-06 by Jean-Charles Verdie. W3C’s hosting of this group does not imply endorsement of its activities.<\/p>\n
