href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=nnl6nY8YKHs\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">TPAC 2013<\/a> got under way in Shenzhen, China, this month.\u00a0 The RWW group didn\u2019t have a session this year, as not too many from the group were able to travel, however, hopefully we&#8217;ll have a room in next year&#8217;s event.<\/p>\n<p>Five star Linked Data in JSON got one step closer, as <a href=\"http:\/\/www.w3.org\/blog\/SW\/2013\/11\/07\/proposed-recommendations-for-json-ld\/\">JSON LD moves to candidate recommendation<\/a>.\u00a0 Additionally, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.w3.org\/TR\/2013\/NOTE-rdf-json-20131107\/\">RDF 1.1 JSON Alternate Serialization<\/a> was released as a note.\u00a0 An interesting report my McKinsey&#8217;s was published showing that Open Data can <a href=\"http:\/\/www.mckinsey.com\/insights\/business_technology\/open_data_unlocking_innovation_and_performance_with_liquid_information\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">unlock 3 to 5 trillion dollars<\/a> in value each year.<\/p>\n<p>Congratulations to our co-chair, Andrei Sambra, who successfully defended his <a href=\"http:\/\/lists.w3.org\/Archives\/Public\/public-rww\/2013Nov\/0008.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">PhD thesis<\/a> on &#8220;Data ownership and Interop. in Decentralized Social SemWeb&#8221;.\u00a0 There was also some interesting discussion this month on advanced used of ACLs.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.w3.org\/community\/rww\/wiki\/images\/f\/fe\/Rww-logo-001.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"200\" height=\"200\" \/><\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"color: #0000ff\">Communications and Outreach<\/span><\/h3>\n<p>Henry Story and Andrei Sambra, among others, were at a well attended <a href=\"http:\/\/hack.stample.co\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">4 day workshop<\/a> in Paris, hosted by Mozilla, entitled &#8220;Weave the web we want&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>Some of you may be interested by the <a href=\"http:\/\/lod2.eu\/BlogPost\/1856-cryptocurrencies-read-write-web-and-all-things-linked-data-with-melvin-carvalho.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">interview<\/a> I gave to the lod2 group.\u00a0 I tried to talk about the advantages of read and write linked data as well as pointers to this, and other, community groups.<\/p>\n<p><a><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.w3.org\/community\/rww\/files\/2012\/06\/rdf.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"106\" height=\"109\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"color: #0000ff\">Community Group<\/span><\/h3>\n<p>The community group welcomes new joiners, from <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Stony_Brook_University\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">Stony Brook University<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/stample.co\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">Stample<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>There was some interesting discussions on ACLs this month, with <a href=\"http:\/\/lists.w3.org\/Archives\/Public\/public-rww\/2013Nov\/0031.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">advanced features<\/a> explored such as regular expressions and cross origin resource sharing.\u00a0 With also the idea of <a href=\"http:\/\/lists.w3.org\/Archives\/Public\/public-rww\/2013Nov\/0001.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">generic ACLs<\/a> explored.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.w3.org\/community\/rww\/files\/2013\/10\/youid.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.w3.org\/community\/rww\/files\/2013\/10\/youid-300x300.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"300\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"color: #0000ff\">Applications<\/span><\/h3>\n<p>YouID, featured last month, is now <a href=\"http:\/\/lists.w3.org\/Archives\/Public\/public-rww\/2013Nov\/0019.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">available<\/a> in both the IOS and Android app stores.\u00a0 Congrats on bringing the goodness of linked data identity to the two biggest mobile platforms.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.w3.org\/community\/rww\/files\/2013\/11\/gmail-logo.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-330\" least\u2026<\/span><\/h3>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/github.com\/KartikTalwar\/gmail.js\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">Gmail.js<\/a> &#8211; JavaScript API for Gmail seemed to be an interesting read and write technology that could augment the popular Gmail web service.\u00a0 It may a valuable future exercise to try and combine a webmail server and client side javascript to make create new
