He has written <a href=\"http:\/\/lists.whatwg.org\/pipermail\/whatwg-whatwg.org\/2012-May\/035855.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">a long email<\/a> to the mailing list commenting on many of the issues and explaining his actions.<\/p>\n<p>As the news broke and the uproar began on Twitter, the W3C <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/#!\/w3c\/status\/202379977944084481\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">replied<\/a>, saying they are &#8220;looking at this&#8221; and to &#8220;stay tuned&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>Expect more developments soon.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Despite significant opposition from developers, the srcset attribute has been added to the WHATWG&#8217;s HTML spec by Ian Hickson.
