{"id":15,"date":"2021-07-02T12:02:24","date_gmt":"2021-07-02T12:02:24","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.w3.org\/community\/rdf-dev\/?p=15"},"modified":"2021-07-02T12:02:26","modified_gmt":"2021-07-02T12:02:26","slug":"new-public-draft-of-the-rdf-star-report","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.w3.org\/community\/rdf-dev\/2021\/07\/02\/new-public-draft-of-the-rdf-star-report\/","title":{"rendered":"New public draft of the RDF-star report"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>The RDF-star \u201ctask force\u201d is proud to announce the third public draft of its report <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/w3c.github.io\/rdf-star\/cg-spec\/2021-07-01.html\" target=\"_blank\">RDF-star and SPARQL-star<\/a>. RDF-star (previously known as RDF*) extends RDF with a compact way of annotating triples, using them as the subject or object of other triples. This makes expressing, e.g., provenance or qualified relationships, easier than with standard RDF. SPARQL-star makes it possible to query such data in the same style.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Most of the report is now stable. Areas that are controversial include a discussion about the pros and cons that have been raised inside the group. Implementers are encouraged to run the <a href=\"https:\/\/w3c.github.io\/rdf-star\/tests\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">test suite<\/a> and submit implementation reports.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The group has started working on a draft charter for a future RDF-star working group. The goal is to promote RDF-star as proper W3C recommendation.
