The Charter has a section on chair selection.<\/p>\n<h2>Participation<\/h2>\n<p>The overhead for joining should be low. One value we\u2019ll get is that everyone agrees to the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.w3.org\/community\/about\/agreements\/summary\/\">contributor agreements<\/a>. To join the group, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.w3.org\/community\/wp-login.php?redirect_to=%2Fcommunity%2Fpdf-open-data%2Fjoin\">Follow This Link<\/a>. There is no limit to number of participants from any one organization. Encourage everyone interested to join.<\/p>\n<p>If you can\u2019t join (e.g., your company won\u2019t let you), then you can still subscribe to the group mailing list (send an email with subject Subscribe to public-pdf-open-data-request@w3.org).<\/p>\n<h2>Tools<\/h2>\n<p><strong>Blog:<\/strong> Individuals and groups may blog about the work on their own sites; we\u2019ll use the W3C blog for short pointers and possibly minutes.<br \/>\n<strong>Mailing lists:<\/strong> We will use public-pdf-open-data@w3.org (<a href=\"https:\/\/lists.w3.org\/Archives\/Public\/public-pdf-open-data\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">archived<\/a>) exclusively<br \/>\n<strong>Chat\/IRC,Teleconference:<\/strong> There is an Adobe Connect room: https:\/\/my.adobeconnect.com\/pdf-data, which includes teleconference support. ODI prefer Google Hangouts. W3C offers IRC with Zakim.<br \/>\nIf we have a volunteer to set up, we\u2019ll use Google Hangouts, otherwise Connect.<br \/>\n<strong>Documents:<\/strong> We will use Google Docs for developing documents, (not GitHub).<br \/>\n<strong>Github:<\/strong> We should consider using W3C Github repos when we\u2019re further along; for now, use a personal or company account. Be sure to include a LICENSE file of W3C License (see Charter).<\/p>\n<h2><strong>Meetings<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>While we\u2019re focusing on our initial report, we will meet online weekly. Wednesday 9 AM PDT is good for many, but some have a conflict.<\/p>\n<p>We need volunteers to take minutes.
