OWL has become the representational language of choice for supporting semantic interoperability in many industries\u00a0in great part due to the rich OWL infrastructure including\u00a0numerous OWL reasoning systems that efficiently deal with both intensional (ontologies) and extensional (data) query answering. In this edition we aim to bridge the gap with the <a href=\"http:\/\/vsl2014.at\/meetings\/ORE-index.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">reasoner evaluation community<\/a> and welcome the submission of papers describing challenging ontologies and or tasks to be represented in OWL and processed by OWL reasoners. We\u00a0also welcome proposals for improving the OWL 2 standard via the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.w3.org\/community\/owled\">W3C\u00a0OWLED Community Group<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Papers about all aspects of OWL and extensions, applications, theory, methods and tools, are welcome. Topics of interest include, but are not limited to:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Application driven requirements for OWL<\/li>\n<li>Applications of OWL, particularly\n<ul>\n<li>from industry or<\/li>\n<li>for data integration<\/li>\n<li>for service interoperability<\/li>\n<li>for sophisticated\/non-obvious inference<\/li>\n<li>for knowledge discovery<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>and within specific domains such as\n<ul>\n<li>law<\/li>\n<li>bio and biomed<\/li>\n<li>eLearning<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Experience of using OWL: notably, highly expressive ontologies or notable uses of the\u00a0OWL 2 profiles<\/li>\n<li>Evaluation of OWL tools e.g. reasoners<\/li>\n<li>Benchmarks for OWL tools<\/li>\n<li>Performance and scalability issues and improvements<\/li>\n<li>Extensions to OWL<\/li>\n<li>OWL and Rules<\/li>\n<li>Implementation techniques and experience reports<\/li>\n<li>Non-standard reasoning service (implementation and requirements for)<\/li>\n<li>Explanation<\/li>\n<li>Ontology comprehension and verbalisation<\/li>\n<li>Multilingual OWL<\/li>\n<li>Modelling issues<\/li>\n<li>Tools, including editors, visualisation, parsers and syntax checkers<\/li>\n<li>Collaborative editing of ontologies<\/li>\n<li>Versioning of OWL ontologies<\/li>\n<li>Alignment of OWL ontologies<\/li>\n<li>Modularity<\/li>\n<li>Query answering with OWL<\/li>\n<li>SPARQL and OWL<\/li>\n<li>Linked Data and OWL<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h1>Submissions<\/h1>\n<p>We invite submissions of the following sorts:<\/p>\n<p><strong>Technical papers<\/strong>: \u00a0All submissions must be in English and no longer than 12 pages (including references).\u00a0Papers that exceed\u00a0this limit will be rejected without review. Submissions must be in PDF formatted in the style of\u00a0the Springer Publications format for Lecture Notes in Computer Science (LNCS). For details\u00a0on the LNCS style, see\u00a0<a style=\"font-style: inherit;color: #21759b\" href=\"http:\/\/www.springer.com\/computer\/lncs?SGWID=0-164-6-793341-0.\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">Springer\u2019s Author Instructions<\/a>.<br \/>\nThese papers should present research, implementation experience, and reports on the above and related topics. Space will be reserved for authors to present their work at the workshop.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Short papers<\/strong>: 4-6 pages (including references), LNCS-style.
