This is a W3C community group<\/a>. It is an open forum that is designed to promote innovation and allow anyone to contribute to the development of the specifications created in the OpenActive<\/a> initiative.<\/p>\n

A W3C community group is the ideal place to co-ordinate the OpenActive<\/a> standards work because it provides an open, neutral environment that brings together people from across a sector.<\/p>\n

We encourage everyone who is interested in contributing to our work to join the group.<\/p>\n

All members of the group are covered by a contributor agreement<\/a>. This agreement ensures that the outputs we create are open for anyone to use.<\/p>\n

The sign-up process<\/h2>\n

Signing up is a two step process.<\/p>\n

  1. Create a W3C account<\/strong><\/a>. This account allows you to join any number of community groups. You will probably need to add information about your organisation, unless you’re joining as an individual member<\/li>\n
  2. Once you are signed in with your W3C account, you can then join the group<\/a><\/strong>. There is a “Join or Leave This Group” button on the community group homepage.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    During the second step you will be asked if you are joining on behalf of your organisation or as an individual.<\/p>\n

    If you join as an individual there is an additional approval step. As this step is carried out by the W3C team, it may take a bit of time to process. But if you are joining on behalf of your organisation you will be immediately added to the group<\/p>\n

    Once you have joined the group you will also automatically be added to the mailing list<\/a>.<\/p>\n

    We encourage everyone that joins the group to introduce themselves by sending a short email to the mailing list<\/a>. This will let other members know you have joined and is an opportunity to outline any areas of our work that you are interested in.<\/p>\n
