{"id":5,"date":"2023-11-28T16:34:56","date_gmt":"2023-11-28T16:34:56","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.w3.org\/community\/oerschema\/?p=5"},"modified":"2023-11-28T16:34:59","modified_gmt":"2023-11-28T16:34:59","slug":"update-and-recap-of-conversation-with-lrmi-group-from-oct-5th-2023","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.w3.org\/community\/oerschema\/2023\/11\/28\/update-and-recap-of-conversation-with-lrmi-group-from-oct-5th-2023\/","title":{"rendered":"Update and recap of conversation with LRMI group from Oct. 5th, 2023"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>We haven&#8217;t posted in a while, but I wanted to give a quick update for a recent discussion we had with  members from the education schema community, <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/www.dublincore.org\/about\/lrmi\/\" data-type=\"URL\" data-id=\"https:\/\/www.dublincore.org\/about\/lrmi\/\" target=\"_blank\">LRMI<\/a>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/www.dublincore.org\/\" data-type=\"URL\" data-id=\"https:\/\/www.dublincore.org\/\" target=\"_blank\">DCMI<\/a> is interested in supporting OER Schema long term, as they do with <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/www.dublincore.org\/about\/lrmi\/\" data-type=\"URL\" data-id=\"https:\/\/www.dublincore.org\/about\/lrmi\/\" target=\"_blank\">LRMI<\/a>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Some items for consideration:\n\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>DCMI application profiles looks for stability, so OER Schema needs to have release version stability of terms.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>RDF term URIs are stable and need some assurance of such, e.g. via agreement on domain for OER Schema, to allow DCMI to take it over if it is abandoned.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>DCMI does not seek to take over OER Schema and update responsibilities. But it would like to be a backup caretaker for the domain.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Definitions\/descriptions and examples need to be documented.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>We are working on some technical updates and are looking to transition the website compiling workflow from TravisCI to Github Actions.
