Adrian has updated the specification and examples for time signatures following the recent discussions about how to replace the originally specified microsyntax.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The main topic of discussion in today’s meeting was the replacement of the note value microsyntax<\/a>. After considering a number of different factors, we decided on the creation of a new duration<\/strong> key for the event<\/strong> object that will itself hold a new object with two key-value pairs: base<\/strong> will use a string-based enumeration, heavily based on the equivalent note-type<\/strong> value in MusicXML<\/a>, to specify the notehead duration; and dots<\/strong> will use an integer to represent the number of rhythm\/augmentation dots on the note. dots<\/strong> can be omitted if the value is 0.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Following the conclusion reached in today’s meeting, Adrian will update the MNX specification and example documents to include these changes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The next meeting will be in two weeks, on Thursday 3 August 2023.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" MNX Adrian has updated the specification and examples for time signatures following the recent discussions about how to replace the originally specified microsyntax.
