{"id":499,"date":"2021-09-28T15:36:19","date_gmt":"2021-09-28T15:36:19","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.w3.org\/community\/music-notation\/?p=499"},"modified":"2021-10-22T21:56:35","modified_gmt":"2021-10-22T21:56:35","slug":"co-chair-meeting-september-28-2021","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.w3.org\/community\/music-notation\/2021\/09\/28\/co-chair-meeting-september-28-2021\/","title":{"rendered":"Co-chair meeting: September 28, 2021"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Community Group meeting at W3C TPAC 2021<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The proposed agenda for the Music Notation Community Group meeting on Thursday 28 October 2021 happening as part of W3C TPAC 2021, is as follows:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Introduction to the Music Notation CG<\/li><li>Progress update since last meeting<ul><li>MusicXML 4.0<\/li><li>SMuFL 1.4<\/li><li>Documentation system for MusicXML and MNX<\/li><\/ul><\/li><li>Ongoing work<ul><li>MNX specification update<\/li><\/ul><\/li><li>New possibilities for community group work<ul><li>Instrument data<\/li><li>Non-Western music notation<\/li><\/ul><\/li><li>Planning for In-person meetings<ul><li>Musikmesse, Frankfurt, Germany (29 April-1 May 2022)<\/li><li>The NAMM Show, Anaheim, CA (3-5 June 2022)<\/li><li>TENOR Conference, Marseille, France (9-11 May 2022)<\/li><li>Music Encoding Conference, Halifax, Canada (19-22 May 2022)<\/li><\/ul><\/li><li>Q&amp;A<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The co-chairs invite community group members to propose further agenda items that they would like to be added to the meeting by sending their suggestions via the <strong>public-music-notation<\/strong> CG mailing list.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The meeting will take place via Zoom and the link for the meeting will be published in due course. If you are planning to attend the CG meeting, you will need to register for TPAC 2021, which will also allow you to attend other sessions in the conference if you are interested in doing so. To register for TPAC 2021, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.w3.org\/register\/tpac2021virtual\">click here<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">MNX<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Further work on <a href=\"https:\/\/github.com\/w3c\/mnx\/pull\/245\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">pull request #245<\/a> (for <a href=\"https:\/\/github.com\/w3c\/mnx\/issues\/57\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">issue #57<\/a>) has been ongoing since last week&#8217;s meeting. A tweak to the pull request making it possible to address a specific staff in a multi-staff instrument in the proposed <strong>system-layout<\/strong> element by index has been proposed.
