Ontology Alignment Group (OAG)

The ontology alignment group evaluates the different ontologies for building data that are provided by the Domain Ontology Groups and makes sure that the different ontologies and datasets are appropriately aligned, avoiding overlap as much as possible. In doing so, they heavily collaborate with the different Domain Ontology Groups. The ontology alignment group consists of technically experienced people with a clear linked data and semantic web background. The group relies heavily on the well accepted W3C Data on the Web Best Practices.

The ontology alignment group assures that anyone in industrial practice can directly find which vocabulary or ontology is available for their business case, and to which other vocabularies it are linked.

The ontology alignment group consists of Ana Roxin, Maxime Lefrançois and Michel Böhms.
