{"id":3,"date":"2015-04-27T12:50:03","date_gmt":"2015-04-27T12:50:03","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.w3.org\/community\/bde-transport\/?p=3"},"modified":"2015-04-27T12:50:03","modified_gmt":"2015-04-27T12:50:03","slug":"call-for-participation-in-bde-smart-green-and-integrated-transport-community-group","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.w3.org\/community\/bde-transport\/2015\/04\/27\/call-for-participation-in-bde-smart-green-and-integrated-transport-community-group\/","title":{"rendered":"Call for Participation in BDE-Smart, green and integrated transport Community Group"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The <a href=\"\/community\/bde-transport\/\">BDE-Smart, green and integrated transport Community Group<\/a> has been launched:<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p>This is one of 7 Community Groups established under the <a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"http:\/\/www.big-data-europe.eu\/\" target=\"_blank\">BigDataEurope Project<\/a>, a Coordination and Support Action under the European Union\u2019s Horizon 2020 Programme, each one tailored to a specific <a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"http:\/\/ec.europa.eu\/programmes\/horizon2020\/en\/h2020-section\/societal-challenges\" target=\"_blank\">Societal Challenge<\/a>. The discussions in this group will be used to design and realise the ICT infrastructure needed to benefit from big data technologies, maximising the opportunities of the latest European RTD developments, including multilingual data harvesting, data analytics, and data visualisation.<\/p>\n<p>This Community Group is specifically interested in the challenge related to smart, green and integrated transport and is led by the <a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"http:\/\/ertico.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">ERTICO<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>This group will not publish specifications.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p>In order to <a href=\"\/community\/bde-transport\/join\">join the group<\/a>, you will need a <a href=\"\/accounts\/request\">W3C account<\/a>. Please note, however, that <a href=\"\/community\/about\/faq\/#is-w3c-membership-required-to-participate-in-a-community-or-business-group\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">W3C Membership<\/a> is not required to join a Community Group.<\/p>\n<p>This is a community initiative. This group was originally proposed on 2015-04-22 by Phil Archer. The following people supported its creation: Phil Archer, Martin Kaltenb\u00f6ck, Simon Scerri, Vangelis Karkaletsis, Thomas Thurner. W3C&#8217;s hosting of this group does not imply endorsement of the activities.<\/p>\n<p>The group must now <a href=\"\/community\/about\/faq\/#how-do-we-choose-a-chair\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">choose a chair<\/a>.
