The discussions in this group will be used to design and realise the ICT infrastructure needed to benefit from big data technologies, maximising the opportunities of the latest European RTD developments, including multilingual data harvesting, data analytics, and data visualisation.<\/p>\n<p>This Community Group is specifically interested in the challenge related to food security, sustainable agriculture and forestry, marine research and the bioeconomy and is led by the <a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"http:\/\/www.fao.org\/\" target=\"_blank\">Food and Agriculture Organization<\/a> of the United Nations.<\/p>\n<p>This group will not publish specifications.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p>In order to <a href=\"\/community\/bde-food\/join\">join the group<\/a>, you will need a <a href=\"\/accounts\/request\">W3C account<\/a>. Please note, however, that <a href=\"\/community\/about\/faq\/#is-w3c-membership-required-to-participate-in-a-community-or-business-group\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">W3C Membership<\/a> is not required to join a Community Group.<\/p>\n<p>This is a community initiative. This group was originally proposed on 2015-04-22 by Phil Archer. The following people supported its creation: Phil Archer, Martin Kaltenb\u00f6ck, Valeria Pesce, Timea Turdean, Simon Scerri.
