{"id":3,"date":"2018-10-31T11:22:37","date_gmt":"2018-10-31T11:22:37","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.w3.org\/community\/bdcomacg\/2018\/10\/31\/call-for-participation-in-bd-comics-manga-community-group\/"},"modified":"2018-10-31T11:22:37","modified_gmt":"2018-10-31T11:22:37","slug":"call-for-participation-in-bd-comics-manga-community-group","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.w3.org\/community\/bdcomacg\/2018\/10\/31\/call-for-participation-in-bd-comics-manga-community-group\/","title":{"rendered":"Call for Participation in BD Comics Manga Community Group"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The <a href=\"\/community\/bdcomacg\/\">BD Comics Manga Community Group<\/a> has been launched:<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p>Motion Comics, Web Comics, Visual novels, Interactive Manga, Webtoon, Turbomedia, Parallax strip,  Still motion art &#8230; all digital variants of visual narratives share a common underlying model, which must be clearly expressed before a universal publication format can be designed and released as a Web standard.<\/p>\n<p>The mission of the BD Comics Manga Community Group (*) is to study and document, for all kinds of visual narratives expressed digitally, a common conceptual model and associated sets of controlled values.<\/p>\n<p>(*) Bande dessin\u00e9e, Comics, Manga are terms broadly used for sequential art in Europe, USA and Asia; this underlies the global scope of the study.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p>In order to <a href=\"\/community\/bdcomacg\/join\">join the group<\/a>, you will need a <a href=\"\/accounts\/request\">W3C account<\/a>. Please note, however, that <a href=\"\/community\/about\/faq\/#is-w3c-membership-required-to-participate-in-a-community-or-business-group\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">W3C Membership<\/a> is not required to join a Community Group.<\/p>\n<p>This is a community initiative. This group was originally proposed on 2018-10-26 by Laurent Le Meur. The following people supported its creation: Laurent Le Meur, Hadrien Gardeur, Ivan Herman, Bryan Mutai, Samuel Petit. W3C&#8217;s hosting of this group does not imply endorsement of the activities.<\/p>\n<p>The group must now <a href=\"\/community\/about\/faq\/#how-do-we-choose-a-chair\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">choose a chair<\/a>.
