  • "Open question: What happens if the lang and xml:lang values differ?" I think the test result would be "failed". Since, the two attributes must be the same and this test is checking if the primary language of the page can be determined programmatically. If the two values are different, the primary language would be unrecognizable not only programmatically, but also manually.


Closed issues

  • Hanno: xml:lang takes precedence, so we should use that one (http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/#C_7): "Use both the lang and xml:lang attributes when specifying the language of an element. The value of the xml:lang attribute takes precedence." Of course it's not nice, but shouldn't be a failure for this success criterion.
  • Open question: Does this test need a "Passed" outcome?
    Every test needs an eventual return if something was selected by the selector. So the test should contain a passed outcome.
