{"id":21,"date":"2017-05-16T08:15:18","date_gmt":"2017-05-16T08:15:18","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.w3.org\/community\/architypes\/?p=21"},"modified":"2017-05-16T12:24:04","modified_gmt":"2017-05-16T12:24:04","slug":"updated-straw-man-proposal","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.w3.org\/community\/architypes\/2017\/05\/16\/updated-straw-man-proposal\/","title":{"rendered":"Updated &#8216;Straw Man&#8217; Proposal"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.w3.org\/community\/architypes\/wiki\/Initial_model_proposal\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright wp-image-23\" src=\"https:\/\/www.w3.org\/community\/architypes\/files\/2017\/05\/Archive-Model2a-300x178.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"200\" height=\"119\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.w3.org\/community\/architypes\/files\/2017\/05\/Archive-Model2a-300x178.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.w3.org\/community\/architypes\/files\/2017\/05\/Archive-Model2a-768x457.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.w3.org\/community\/architypes\/files\/2017\/05\/Archive-Model2a.jpg 795w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 200px) 100vw, 200px\" \/><\/a>Following discussions on the mailing list and taking into account general evolution of the schema.org vocabulary over recent months, I have produced an updated version of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.w3.org\/community\/architypes\/wiki\/Initial_model_proposal\"><em>straw man<\/em>\u00a0initial proposal<\/a> in the Wiki.<\/p>\n<p>This version is somewhat simplified when compared with its predecessor. \u00a0The objective being to approach a minimum viable proposal for sharing information about archives and their resources to aid discovery on the Web.<\/p>\n<p>It includes\u00a0a worked through examples of <a href=\"https:\/\/archiveshub.jisc.ac.uk\/search\/archives\/e3b10224-3672-33e6-99d3-9ad8e1fa8598?component=8a44e322-ac07-3e32-9f37-467cc4fbd710\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">an item in an archive<\/a>, showing the overall data model plus examples of data in JSON-LD form that could be inserted into the individual html pages for the Archive, ArchiveCollection, and ArchiveItem.<\/p>\n<p>The prototype working example site for Schema.org including the proposed extension has been updated to reflect these changes:\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/archive.sdo-archive.appspot.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">archive.sdo-archive.appspot.com<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>I look forward to continued discussion, moving us forward towards drafting an agreed proposal to the main Schema.org community.<\/p>\n<p>~Richard.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Following discussions on the mailing list and taking into account general evolution of the schema.org vocabulary over recent months, I have produced an updated version of the straw man\u00a0initial proposal in the Wiki.
