{"id":3299,"date":"2024-04-30T14:18:30","date_gmt":"2024-04-30T14:18:30","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.w3.org\/blog\/International\/?p=3299"},"modified":"2024-04-30T14:18:30","modified_gmt":"2024-04-30T14:18:30","slug":"new-first-public-working-drafts","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.w3.org\/blog\/International\/2024\/04\/30\/new-first-public-working-drafts\/","title":{"rendered":"New First Public Working Drafts"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Internationalization Activity has recently published the following FPWD documents.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.w3.org\/TR\/khmr-lreq\/\">Khmer Layout Requirements<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.w3.org\/TR\/thai-lreq\/\">Thai Layout Requirements<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.w3.org\/TR\/laoo-lreq\/\">Lao Layout Requirements<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Thus far, these documents mostly point to external descriptions of how the script works. They also point to relevant GitHub discussions, tests, and gap reports.  This provides a convenient  way to access information about a particular script\/language when doing gap analysis as part of our language enablement program.<\/p>\n<p>Similar structural changes have been applied to the following documents, although these documents contain much more in-page content.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.w3.org\/TR\/tlreq\/\">Requirements for Tibetan Text Layout and Typography<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.w3.org\/TR\/alreq\/\">Arabic &amp; Persian Layout Requirements<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Comments welcome, via the GH links indicated at the top of each page.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Internationalization Activity has recently published the following FPWD documents.
